As a general rule, I don't like CytoSport because I just don't like them. Like their Muscle Milk line might as well be chocolate milk - sure it tastes great, of course it tastes great, it's almost as much sugar as protein. But let's stick to the supplement you're actually asking about, shall we? ;)

Meanwhile, if you mean this, it's not a half bad protein supplement, but it is in fact solely and only straight-up whey. If you've been using a brand that includes BCAA, Glutamine or anything else in the mix, this doesn't have that. The protein content is acceptable, though not the highest I've seen (nor the lowest). I can definitely see the big advantage of why you're looking at this product - the price, and that is a great price, especially for a blend that contains no concentrate. If you're on a really really tight budget, sure, go ahead and buy this, but I'd encourage you to go ahead and pick up BCAAs and Glutamine to throw in your shakes with it (The Vitamin Shoppe has a store-brand one that contains both in 1 container and it's pretty cheap).

Thanks for a new reason to hate CytoSport... apparently they have some cracked out labelling going on over there... This is the nutritional label for the product I thought you were talking about from CytoSport's website. Apparently, it is not the same product at all! Sorry for the irrelevant information, just had difficulties finding the right product. Yours has BCAAs and Glutamine (good things), but looking at the ingredients list, the primary ingredient is whey concentrate. This isn't "bad" per se, concentrate is easier to make so it's cheaper (hence the ridiculous price at Costco, and seriously that is a ridiculous price), it's just not quite as bioavailable as isolate. Doesn't make it trash - just makes it less good than if it were primarily isolate or totally isolate. It's kind of like buying a Kia versus a Hyundai. One's the budget brand with the budget parts, the other is the more "premium" brand with the "premium" parts, but under the hood it's all fairly similar cuz they're both Korean cars from the same company, and sometimes what the bank says you have for money gets to be the deciding factor. ;)

If you're on a budget, then yeah, I still say go right on ahead and buy this, it looks perfectly fine to me. If not, find one that's more isolate (or pure isolate) and has BCAAs and Glutamine. Hope that helps now that I have the right bloody product in front of my face  thx for the picture :)

Meaning it's a protein supplement, not a meal replacement or "weight gainer". Lots of shakes aren't straight protein - and there's reasons why you would or would not want one of those.

Yes. The proteins are mixed up and confused as to why they are in a dark jug and who put them there... ;)

Seriously though I'm not following your question? Can you clarify?

Does anyone here buy protein supplements online? If so where can I get some good deals on buying them bulk so I don't always have to reorder.
