CLA

Anyone take CLA? Success/horror stories?

The reason I ask is because there's really no concrete research showing exactly one way or another (that I've found), but yet I see a ton of people taking the stuff.

YUP!

I can dig up research for you if you like. CLA doesn't help so much with increasing total weight lost - most studies show it making a difference of about 1% long term. Its usefulness is specifically in helping eliminate fat from more stubborn areas, specifically the abdomen and the face.

Personally, I've had no unwanted side effects from supplementing with CLA (and I'm Mr Side Effects with every pill I take), but I did notice the fat coming off the midsection and the double-chin vanishing much more quickly with it than without it. Pretty sure it'd be next to worthless if you're not cutting - which is when I don't use it. :)

Can you recommend a good CLA?

Thanks.

Since Joh's the expert, I guess you probably want his opinion.

Personally though, I got this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001U3CX10
It's MRM's CLA, which has 1g CLA per each 1.25g softgel. I've been taking 3 daily. My cut is going really well, but I don't know how much of that is just due to TSPA being amazing.

Sure can. I always use the Puritan's Pride one. Cheap as all hell ($28.99 for 3 bottles of 90 pills), and around 5g a day seems to be perfect - which this one does in 2 gelcaps with breakfast and 2 with dinner. :)

Thanks an00bis, I'll check that one out.

JoH, the link didn't come through, are you talking about the 'Super Strength MYO-Leptin (1500 mg)' or the 'CLA 1000 mg Tonalin'?
Both are the price you quoted and both are around 5 grams for 2 softgels. (6 and 4 respectively)
I was curious if there was a difference between the two.

Thank you both for the help.

That's because instead of copy-pasting the link, I copy-pasted the UPS tracking number for a package I had ordered... It's fixed now :)
