Hi im going to start using micronized creatine monohydrate for the first time and I have a few questions. I plan to follow the loading shedule where you take 20 grams of creatine each day for the first week (loading week), then 5 grams of creatine each day for the remaining weeks of the cycle (maintenance weeks).
Based on that, I was going to take 5 grams of creatine 4 times each day on loading days(morning, noon, pre and post workout).
Then only take 5 grams of creatine on maintenance days (post workout).
I have read that mixing the 5 grams of creatine with simple carbs (to cause a rise in insulin levels) helps your body absorb the creatine (like mix the creatine into grape juice). Consuming one glass of juice on maintenance days sounds practicle enough. But would that mean I'd have to drink 4 glasses of juice on loading days, since ill be taking creatine four times a day?? Or is there a preferred way to raise your insulin each time you take creatine on loading days?
Or perhaps raising the insulin doesn't really matter that much and I should just take the creatine with water on loading days??
