Creatine since day 1?

I've read that it's not recommended to start out with creatine on day 1 when you haven't trained before.
I have, but I'm over-cautious, so my question is the kind of "if someone who trains much less than me can take it, I can too, and if he can't, I won't take risk either". So, if I were a guy, who haven't ever exercised, only some light forms of movements, but I were never much into sport before - should I take creatine from the first day of my new, training-rich life?

PS. In reality I've always had some forms of movement, including mostly martial arts, but I had also many breaks from exercising when I was mostly sitting and surfing internet all day. If that situations changes the verdict (should I start out with creatine right away or not?), please tell me ;)

Hogwash and silliness.

The concept is you're oversupplementing if you're just starting out, because most real live beginners (i.e. folks who have been couch potatoes their whole lives) simply will not train to a level of intensity where creatine supplementation will be effective or useful. Where this falls apart is if you intend to train to failure from the get-go, you'll be able to take advantage of the creatine supplementation, and even if you're not, creatine = extra ATP = more intense workouts.

BTW - before you ask, loading phases may or may not be beneficial. Manufacturers (for obvious reasons) insist on them, but you will accumulate as much over time as through a loading phase. The goal is reach saturation and stay there. There's no evidence that loading actually speeds up this process - but there's no evidence it doesn't, either. You'll have to flip a coin on that one. ;)
