In short, no... The only thing that has clinical studies that back it is the original ECA stack. There might be some ingredients in newer products that work to a degree, but nothing compares. I have tried two products which felt similar to eca, Black Cats & Tight Extreme. Feeling an effect from a product is not the same as it "working as advertised". Just because N.O. gives you a great pump and makes your veins pop through your skin, doesn't mean it builds muscle. Saying something works "In theory" is just not the same as double blind studies. Just get some ephedra, caffeine, and aspirin, and save your money. If you live in a country that is trying to protect you to death, and ephedra is not available, than caffeine is the only other compound that I know of that "releases fatty acids" to be burned more so than without it. And that is ONLY if you take them prior to training. Honestly, to save yourself the headaches, just cut calories very slightly... not enough to backfire on your metabolism, but enough to lose about 1-2lbs a week. If you can't lose that, then up your training intensity slightly, and add a little more activity to your day (take stairs, park further away, etc.) Adjust carbs to more glycemically friendly versions to keep insulin in check. The reason you shouldn't drop calories too much towards the end of a cut is because the leaner you are the more fragile the bodily response to calorie shortages. In other words, you don't have much to sustain you should you hit a famine. Metabolism SLOWS DOWN the less you weigh, and the more fit you become the more efficiently you burn calories, so to burn them you have to be active.
Hope that helps...
