I'll tell you how many times to drink Muscle Milk... real super easy question...
NEVER!
Seriously have you ever looked at the nutrition panel on that garbage? Let's take the Banana Creme Ready-to-Drink...
300 Calories / 144 Fat Calories
16g Fat
7g Saturated Fat
16g Total Carbs / 1g Fiber / 7g Sugars
32g Protein
That's FIFTEEN NET CARBS. HALF as much protein as is in the damn thing. Insulin spike in a bottle much? I can see maybe on your carb up days if you're doing MANS, and I'm sure the glycemic index on this is silly and puts it out of the question on GLAD, so, really, DON'T DRINK THE CRAP.
Your better alternative... Nature's Best Zero Carb Isopure Whey Protein Isolate. Cookies & Cream profile is...
210 Calories/ 10 Fat Calories
1g fat
0g Carbs
50g Protein
So that's more protein than your muscle milk, and none of the awful carbs. I like to make mine with 4 fl oz of heavy cream and 2 Tbsp of almond butter. Doing that changes the profile to...
811 Calories / 550 Fat Calories
61.1g fat / 29.5 Sat Fat / 1.64 Polyunsaturated / 12.74 Monounsaturated
9.33g Carbs / 4g Fiber / 2.13g Sugar
59.5g Protein
Almost twice the protein, a third the carbs and a third the sugars, and a lil fiber never hurt nobody. To say nothing of the dent this makes in your caloric intake if you find you have a hard time hitting the amount you need. However, I must readily admit that this is ripped clean off of Mark's monster shake - but with our colonial heavy cream in place of the imperial double cream.
