Hi I'm a fifty year old bloke slightly over weight, look to build muscle and loose weight, which supplements would best suite.

You don't really need any supplements. I would focus first on eating properly and working out consistently. Whey protein is a good way to supplement your protein intake if you find it hard to eat enough. Fishoil and creatine are also good to take. Read the info on Musclehack.com as it covers most of what you need to know.

I agree with the lads. If you are just starting out you won't need any supplements for a while. In the first few months of training you will get stronger very quickly and you can even build muscle and lose fat at the same time. After about 2 months you might consider taking some protein and then a little while later think about taking creatine.

Oh, i forgot to add that after the first few weeks you should consider taking Calcium in the mornings and Magnezium and Zink before bed. Calcium helps the muscles to contract, and the Magnezium and zink help the muscles to relax and heal while you sleep.
