Priority Supplements

Postby krs on Wed Apr 13, 2011 11:39 pm

If you were running on a tight budget what would your top priority supplements be?

I eat fish at least 4 times a week so I will omit Fish Oil from the list, the list below is not in any particular order of priority, just would like some feed back.

Whey Protein Creatine L-Glutamine Magnesium Multivitamins Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate

List looks solid and aside from the magnesium, matches my own.
Impossible is a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it.

I think #1 and #2 are clearly Whey Protein and a Multivitamin. Behind those at #3 is Glutamine, then Magnesium, then Arginine. If you really need to, you can save a few bucks at a cost of a few more carbs by getting the regular Whey Protein Concentrate instead of the higher quality Whey Protein Isolate.

Oh, sorry, didn't see creatine in your list.

Protein, creatine, and multivitamin are clearly the top 3.

Oh you poor Brits, forever robbed blind by your merchants...

I'd pretty well go with your exact list, though I prefer ZMA to Magnesium, and I do find it cheaper to pay a little more for a protein supp that includes BCAA and L-Glutamine rather than buy them separately.

I think protein, Vitamins and carbohydrates are top three priority supplements.

whey protein is definitely the number one supplement you should be looking at in my opinion. You should also consider creatine monohydrate after that. i think that is what works best and that is what i used
