I will give some top brands info:
Protein Powders:
Muscletech - Nitrotech Hardcore (combination with Celltech(creatine+carbs+insulin drives) is great, unfortunately they cost too much in my country and cannot afford them any time)
BSN - Syntha-6 (with Cellmash as above combination)
Optimum Nutrition - 100% Whey
Universal - Advanced Soy Protein (0 carbs(!) for the low-carbers) - Universal is the best brand for bbing in my opinion
NOW - Soy Protein (very cheap!)
CytoSport - Muscle Milk
Gaspari Nutrition - IntraPro - The second greatest brand for bbing
Dymatize - Elite (great flavours and taste, good aminos) - I use this for now Gourmet Vanilla Flavour, even with water is great!
Ultimate Nutrition - Prostar
EAS - 100% Whey(good pro but expensive,EAS is generally expensive but has good products especially for athletes)

Weight gainers:
Muscletech - Mass Tech (my first 10kg were gained by this) it is a 3:1 (carb/protein) weight gainer.
BSN - True-Mass (same)
Muscle Asylum Project - Freak Fix (mild weight gainer with fats and carbs) probably the greatest taste of all I have tried!!!!
Cytosport - Cytogainer(something like that, can't remember the name)

If I had enough money I would buy Nitrotech and Celltech or Syntha-6 and Cellmass.

Just want to say check out trueprotein.com You can make customized mixes or just buy creatine and caffeine and glutamine in powder form way cheaper than anywhere else. I bought the 25 lb. recession whey concentrate they have and it is only 100 bucks. You have to buy flavorings but its still like 120 for 375 servings so it is very well worth it. Also for those on MANS, one scoop only has 2g carbs while my current ON has 4. I do not work for them and am not spamming. I am following MANS and doing the THT program but I thought some of you might want to check them out.

I picked up Casein protein at GNC for $50.00 a few days ago to take at night. I can feel the difference as it makes you feel full so I imagine it works and does metabolism slower.

Yeah, casein definitely makes me fuller than whey concentrate, which makes me fuller than whey isolate.

Whey isolate is the fastest-digesting, though; perfect for the post-workout shake! I really like Nature's Best Low-Carb IsoPure in Dutch Chocolate flavor for my shakes. Tastes good, does the job, and only 1g net carbohydrate per serving.

Got burned on GNC whey protein at 10g of sugar per "serving" comparable to the protein concentration in IsoPure. Not gonna buy that stuff again; I'm going to pay closer attention to the label for what the "serving size" is!

I like Optimum Whey--been using it consistently for a few years now.
