Whey Protein

Postby dunkman95 on Tue Jan 04, 2011 3:31 am

I am interested in purchasing the Total Six Pack Abs ebook but wanted to know if their was any supplementing required to obtain a "ripped" physique. I am new to the supplement world and am wondering what kinds of supplements are safe. I don't want to take Creatine but I was wondering if a simple Whey Protein would show more results in my ab workout than if i followed the book without taking any supplements. Any information would be appreciated.

Buy the book. I still keep finding good stuff in there. Mark is not too big on supplements. Only Whey, Casein, and L-Glutamine.
You will get huge even if not using them.

Thanks. So about the Whey Protein. I've heard of it and I've heard of Casein because Casein is the protein your take before bed because its digested slower therefore giving you protein throughout the night. Correct? What is L-Glutamine? My mom isn't to keen on the whole supplement deal and is afraid of me taking Whey Protein because she thinks it is like taking Creatine.

Maybe you should have yourmother do some reasearch on Creatine. It is naturally produced by your body in the first place..
"Extensive research over the last decade has shown that oral creatine supplementation at a rate of 5 to 20 grams per day appears to be very safe and largely devoid of adverse side-effects [13] while at the same time, effectively improving the physiological response to resistance exercise, increasing the maximal force production of muscles in both men and women"

Research L-Glutamine, sounds like your Mom is going to need to know th science behind it. Basically it helps you recover faster when you break down your muscles.

Creatine, Protien and L-Glutamine are all very safe, and not a steriod...

Your body which is made up from tissues, nerves, and bones are made up mostly of PROTEIN.

We need proteins to help give structure to our cells and growth, also for tissue repair from growing from young to adulthood also helps with repair muscle from intense exercise.

Nonessential amino acids need not be obtained from the diet.
