Yeah, it looks a bit light on the vegetables. OK, a lot light. Like they're practically non-existent. If one were to embrace a high-carb diet, it would be best to replace much of those grain carbohydrates with fruits and vegetables.

I think I hear the sound of one lonely vitamin, crying softly.

I hate having to work out but I do it because my body needs it. There are so few things over which we have total control; what we cram into our pie-holes is certainly one of them. :|

Looks a little similar to my diet although I exchange maybe 10-20% of those carbs for more protein/fat and the carbs all come from fruit rather than any wheat sources. I don't eat vegetables either, heh.

Well, there's no arguing with your results, but whereas it may be possible to obtain them in the short term, when you reach my age you will learn that if you are unkind to your body, it will find passive-aggressive ways of being unkind to you.

Oh, and I didn't eat this many vegetables when I was a vegetarian, either.

I used to eat a lot of fruits in the past 4-5 portions a day and my veggies were 1-2 portions a day. I have reversed it and I am much better. I mean, they have almost the same micro-nutritional values but veggies are sugarfree,or at least they contain much lower amounts.Generally I prefer getting energy from whole grain than fruits. Fruits give me peak energy but have fast drop so I prefer them before or after workout.

My only hang ups with fruits are that they are really high carb. If I eat an apple, I'm already at 20grams carbs. It's tough for me. I agree that fruits (live foods) have more advantage over grains but man do they boost up the carbs REAL fast. Since I'm a gladiator, I think I might do some research and find the lowest carb fruits and make a list for other GLADiators.

An apple is not so calorie dense, but a banana definately is. The bad with fruits is that a large portion of the calories come from sugars (fructose). That's why I limit them.
