Alcohol on the GLAD diet

Postby Frogmarch1987 on Sat Jul 16, 2011 5:33 pm

I'm coming to the end of my TSPA cycle and am starting to research the GLAD diet, ready to switch over to that.

From what I've been reading, alcohol has a GL of 0. Can this be true? Can I really go out and have as many vodka/diet mixers, southern comfort etc. as I like?

Alcohol still has calories, and Mark says you should not exceed your required calories. Since they are empty calories (ie provide no nutrition) then it will mess up your macros and diet.

Based on what I've read on this board and from other research, the problem is the alcohol itself more than the carbs/cals. Basically, your body stops burning off fat in order to focus on processing the alcohol.

Where's JoH when you need him to provide the details that I'm not qualified to explain... :(

Yes I agree with you. If is possible it's best not to consume alcohol at least not in higher dosage.
There is a clip Of MD Robert H Ludvig as what I understand that alcohol is same as sucrose with only one difference witch is sucrose don't sends any alarm to the brain so people keep consuming soft drinks juices and so on but alcohol does.

Advice is try not to drink at least try in moderation.
