I don't know why everyone is pushing oats. They have a GL of 14.
Oat Bran, my favorite has a GL of 8.

I found this out because my daughter has a problem with blood sugars and can't eat oatmeal.

I myself am not really sure about the Glycemic Load for oats.

I keep getting so many indifferent results readings for GI INDEX and GL's for oats like 10, 12, 15, even 16 gycemic load :?:

Oat Bran GL of 8 looks great John I will see if I can get hold of these what are the brand name or is it just Oat Bran :?:

Trader Joes has it. It's just "Oat Bran". Fred Meyer's (super grocery market type) has it in the bulk bins.
twice the water, boil, throw in Oat Bran, cook one minute. mix in protein powder vanilla sucralose peanut butter coconut oil, the kitchen sink
make a nice cup of coffee, decaf or not. . . yum!!!

Thought this site would help out with peoples GLAD diet. Just type in the food name and it will give you the nutritional values and daily intake PLUS the estimated GL of the item. Pretty much awesome in my book....

Has anyone compiled a list of their recipes? I'm starting the diet next week and it'd be a huge help.

This big list isn't so big.

PIZZAS!!!!
Use a wholemeal pita for a base (bout 9 or10 GLs) and slap on your favorite toppings. Bake for 8mins at 200 degrees. Just watch the sauces. Most tomato pastes are good.

I also enjoy apple pieces dipped in peanut butter. AWESOME
