Body Fat % loss on GLAD?

Postby sanlander on Thu Aug 18, 2011 7:34 am

Hi Guys,

Im new to MH and just had a few questions regarding the GLAD diet, and in particular its effectivness in dropping body fat %. I'm a slender guy but have a fat % of around 16%(mainly around the belly!), the GLAD diet is ideal for me as id like to bulk up but am worried that my % will creep up at the same time?

Does anyone know, or have any experience in what to expect? a gain? a loss? or for it to stay the same? Can you still get a low body fat % using the GLAD diet?

Hope you guys can help!

Sandeep!

If your primary goal is cutting fat, buy TSPA. :)

Thanks for your reply, but that didnt really answer my question.

Just top clarify, does anyone know if the GLAD diet increases or decreases body fat percentage?

I already have TSPA purchased, but would prefer to start on GLAD.

GLAD is a bulking diet. TSPA is a cutting program with its own diet included.

Everyone has answered your question, you just aren't listening. :-P

Bulking diet (ie MANS or GLAD) - Gain muscle as quickly as possible while minimising fat gains - so you will increase your amount of body fat slightly but if you increase muscle mass enough your body fat percentage shouldn't change significantly.

Cutting diet - (ie Total Six Pack Abs, "TSPA") - Reduce body fat while maintaining lean muscle. Hence you require TSPA for your goal. To find out more go to http://www.totalsixpackabs.com/

Are you just starting to lift weights? If so then you can build muscle and lose fat at the same time using any muscle building diet as long as your not consuming to many calories over maintenacne + activity level. If you have been training for more then 6 months then the dynamics change a bit as its much harder to do so and most people have to choose to gain muscle or lose fat. Even then if you're choosing to build muscle it does not mean you have put a lot of fat on. If you keep your calories between 100 to 500 over what you need to maintain you should not gain a lot of fat while building muscle. You will need to adjust as some people need more calories and other need less dpending on your body type and how your body responds. Everyone is different.

Hope that helps.
