Yes Yes I know I shouldn't be advertising another diet but... I would just like to explain my reactions and testimony to a MAN taking what has been a dominated woman fad.
So I have had a few problems over the last 8 weeks, following my macros to the tee and yet not really get anywhere apart from this horrid up and down water loss. I predicted it wasn't my routine (since I haven't changed my routine for over 5 years when I wanted to lose fat and gain muscle).
I did look at some of the obvious... coke zero.. ummm yes no. Don't touch it, it has the same affects on your pancreas as real coke. Other than that my lifestyle has got a crap load more stressful I work at a desk more often and live on coffee in which will probably not help my rebuild during sleep.
so I changed things up and monitored energy levels and weight and BF%. Still nothing (in fact I went from 80.2 to 82.5 over this time)
So I would just like to say I do not recommend this in the slightest but felt I had no other option but I needed to test where my darn metabolic threshold was. I remembered what some of the rich ponzi women used to say to me and I thought hmm, so I starting designing myself a diet that would colligate with a nice fresh cleanse and a new start!
then I realised there was already a name for it: Cabbage Soup Diet. When you read it, it doesn't seem that bad, although with lack of protein for 6 of 7 days, you can see a major loss in muscle is on the horizons.... fook it I thought let’s just do it.
ok I won't go into details but trust it's horrid, you are starving 90% of the time, the cabbage soup is nice but there is ZERO calories and is worthless. Finally day 6 comes and I can eat all the meat I want, this was a good day! You do however learn to appreciate food as a source of energy and warmth not just something we do every day for fun.
quick weigh in though.... 77.7 Kg ummm crap that’s a lot of weight 4.8kg or almost 11lb to the Americas on here. So anyway at the end of the 7 days I think you get a lot of your water back from the rice day and I woke up this morning with a nice 78.8kg so I guess 'total loss; 3.7kg or 8.2lb'
the one thing I have noticed...
I am hungry again. Before the diet I could go the day on 1k calories when my body should apparently require over 2k. now I feel hungry, I felt hungry all through the meat day and all through the 7th day and now today I have already have a full English and coffee and yet I am ready for my 11 o clock brunch... I will slowly start my calorie load back up to normal and see what happens.
Just thought I would share my experience
