figure competition.

Postby angela on Sat Jul 12, 2008 4:09 pm

what calories should i stick to on my high fat days? and on my carb days? i am 124 pnds about 13% bf. i competed recently in alberta, canada and placed top ten in tier one. i am genetically on the pear shape side. pre-contest i was told to do more cardio then i thought was right and i did lose alot of upper size. So now post compition, i want to do things diff. so now i train heavey and 6-8 rep range x4 sets. 5-6 days a week with hiit at the end of every session. i have just recently joined the M.A.N.N.S diet. when cutting i tend to lose my upper body. can someone help me with cutting the bottom half and preserving the top half? i use isopure, amino acids, and creatine post work-out. insight is much appreciated.

Hi Angela,

I think the following 2 articles will give you answers,

http://www.musclehack.com/how-many-calo ... ld-muscle/

http://www.musclehack.com/how-to-build- ... same-time/

As long as you keep training your upper body, don't overdo cardio and use the low-carb approach, you will preserve your upper body muscle.

Hope that helps,

Mark
