Holidays and vacations

Hello All,

I have a quick question. I returned from a weeks vacation which tied in with my rest week.

My question is do you all take a complete week off from dieting and working out?

On my vacation I didn't eat terribly (nor was a great) but i have returned to find out I have gained 17lbs in 7 days, that seems a little extreme to me, do you all agree?

Not really; some will be fat and some will be water weight if you've been low-carbing and took a vacation from that too. Your glycogen stores have been refilled and it takes a lot of water with it when it goes into your muscles. Like, three times its own weight.

I can gain up to 8 pounds on a carb-up day. It goes away in several days of low-carbing.

It sounds like you did exactly what you're meant to do; keep us posted over the next several days and tell us how it's coming off with your low-carb diet and return to working out.
