Losing fat

Postby shandy on Fri May 20, 2011 12:06 am

Hi all,

I have been following a low carb diet which has allowed me to get body fat down to around 15%.
Now i have calculated i need to lose another 8 Ibs of fat (to get below the 10% mark). This proving pretty difficult. I have found severe lack
of energy and less-productive workouts and constant hunger. Are there any tips to help. I have not used creatine as yet.

Would creatine be a good idea? I feel I need to increase intensity of workouts. I have done zero cardio, I am concerned
about losing muscle tissue. I do however do circuit training.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Creatine is always a good idea, cutting or bulking either one. :)

As to that last 5%... TSPA. Totally go buy it, and follow it like it's your religion. Also, if it's been close to 3 months that you've been doing this, a week at eating at maintenance and off from training is in order first.

I have purchased TSPA. I have been doing the for 3/4 weeks so i guess I am being impatient.
Regarding creatine, when should i start taking it? Is it something I can take immediately?
Maybe it will help to improve my lack of energy during workouts

OK, then if you have purchased TSPA, take your self to that forum so we can talk diet specifics, since that's frowned on in the open forums. ;)

As to creatine... YES, you can start taking it immediately. You can do a loading phase (5g five times a day for five days) which theoretically speeds saturation, but there's no hard evidence one way or the other and you'll get guys like me that suggest it and other guys that say it's a waste of good supplement. After that or if you choose to skip it, 5g right before and 5g right after your workout. Dissolve it in hot water then cool it down with ice, or just mix it in coffee or tea, since it doesn't dissolve and won't absorb as well in cold water.

Oh, and you want creatine monohydrate. Not ethyl ester, not other weird products, not crazy products containing creatine - just straight up, un-screwed-with creatine monohydrate. :)

Not at all. It's one of those things that's nice to have, and a good idea to take, and if it can be fit in your budget it probably should be, but it's not crucial. Personally I like this one, because it has my BCAAs in addition to the glutamine (and it's flippin cheap).

Uhm... rules...? I think we're pretty unruly overall...

Seriously though just don't be a dick and questions specifically about TSPA need to go in the TSPA forum per Mark's request - that's the only real "rule" per se. :) So like specifics of your diet on TSPA would go there, but general questions about what or when to eat can go in the regular Diet folder.

Reducing body fat is not easy task. You need to decide about weight goal, plan a proper diet for achieving desire goal. Do simple but meaningful exercise activities for 30 mints. It is enough for warm up body from sleeping anxiety. Make a changing in eating habits. Avoid fat and high protein foods items. Use those foods which have all the essential vitamins and minerals like fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Water also help in making attractive body shape.
