Try this amazing smoothie in your carb up period...

Two frozen bananas (make sure you peel the bananas and put them in a sealed plastic tub before freezing)
A few almonds
A few blocks of ice
Whey protein
Water
A teaspoon of honey or to taste

Blend all in a blender until smooth and serve! Yummy

You can also add optional items such as...
Flax seeds, pumpkin seeds etc.

A lot of it is common sense buddy, if you stick to the low carb, high fat and high protein (depending on your goals of course) mentality it aint difficult to pick and choose what you need - read the labels !! There is also a lot of info on the web regarding carb content of fruit / veg etc, take a look at fitday.com and start a food diary that will track all your carb, protein and fat intakes.

oh man, I'm reading this and realized that my 2:30pm meal was just a half can of salmon with very little fat (2g).
So I ran down to the cafe on the 1st floor and ate 2 tabs of butter. Right out of the wrapper, no delivery system. (ok, I did sprinkle some Splenda on them). yumm

My staple every 2 hours meal for the last 2 years on WW was one banana or berries, one bag of veggies (brock, cal, carrots, cherry tomatoes), and 12gs (half scoop) of whey protein powder plus splenda or stevioside, oh yeah and ice. With a sip of coffee in between to avoid brainfreeze. . . .yumm.

Not many people know how well veggies blend up with fruit and or flavored whey protein. Ok, kinda green colored, but bamm!! you are getting your veggies using a whole new transport system.

And last but not least:

Getting bored or gagging to death on veggies?
Steam them or not, and then throw them in a bowl with this. mix and eat:

.5 to 1 inch of Basalmic Vinegar (Costco's Kirkland Signature is the best).
big big sprinkle of Basil leaf
Spike or some other herbal seasoning
1 to 2 packets of Splenda or whatever
optional sprinkle of cayenne.

Steamed or not, this makes my broccoli and cauliflower really taste great. Works as a side dish to ANYTHING. Just had a bowl with my bacon and eggs. . . .

I have found a recipe for wraps/tortilla bread.
by Pattie Curran

2 cups of flour
3 tbsp coconut oil
3/4 cup water
1/2 tsp salt

mix together till smooth devide into 8 pieces(smallish wraps.)
Roll as thin as you can and let rest for 30minutes(I didn't)
Dry fry for 1 minute on each side and enjoy.

This is much easier and faster than you think plus the greatest benefit is you know what went into it.

Let me know what you think
