meal recipes??

Postby The Cougarkid on Tue Jun 09, 2009 9:24 pm

Hey guys,

I've been following the low carb way of life a couple months now, and i have to say im loving it. Just reached the ten percent mark. neways i fort i'd share a couple of my random meals in the hopes that some of you guys wud throw some my way. I hope i haven't trod on someone elses toes in regards to this thread im pretty sure someone must have started one similar. neways.

1) ne of you guys miss bread well i have made 0.5 per two slice bread. now its not hovis dnt get me wrong but its not bad.

i use 1 teaspoon of ground flax
25 ml of double cream
1 scoop of whichever protein u use
1 egg and sometimes some cinnamon

i mix this up untill it has a good consistency pour into a square plastic container and then microwave for 1 min 20. i leave to cool slice it in half pop in in the toaster and voila. i normally have peanut butter on toast for breakkie or you can have it with eggs or just make pancakes or even ive had bacon sandwhiches wateva. try it.

2) i also eat this its sorta like a hot pot thing around 6 or 7 carbs.

150G of tinned tomato 4.5 carbs add abit of hot water start to boil.
fry off some slice mattesons cumberland sausage 0 carb and diced onion very little carb i doubt.
whilst im doin this im normally grilling some chicken breast or a lamb burger to up the fat and protein .
when there cooked i scut them into chunks and pour all the ingredients in i also add a tin of green beans which is another gram of carbs. then let simmer.

its pretty good, and full off all the good stuff.

ne ways some of your meals wud be great!!

peace.

I think I got rid of more carbs raging over the word breakkie than from the recipe. Thank you for the good idea though I will have to try it, after I take my anger out on a couple more baby kittens of course.

Please... think of the kittens! ;) I don't think it's as candy-ass a word there as it is here...

Or you could just take on a few tigers, get a workout fighting them, and then eat them for the protein. Gotta think in terms of efficiency here.

@TheCougarkid: Good post, I'll be trying some of these. Thanks!

hey budgie, ye man i've tried all marks stuff. i like the progurt best!!! and the tuna patties, although after years of following my low fat high protein bodybuilding diet i've pretty much ceased eating tuna or ne other bland tastless protein i used to eat :)

i'll try come up with some more random recipes. oh also i was reading some keto stuff the other day and apparently having all ure 30 g of carbs in one hit isnt a bad thing and actually helps you sleep. im sure we cud all have fun with that!!!
