I was afraid someone might suggest hopping onto GLAD.
I haven't tried it, though it looks fairly difficult to get the gist of.
Got a copy of TSPA. I'll start reading it right now and write my shopping list.
Cheers
See, that's why I'd've said TSPA and then switch to MANS.
I don't feel a carb cycling diet is universally better or worse than a GI-based diet. Some folks get better results from one than the other by virtue of just how their metabolism works, and of course the psychological aspect of it can't be understated - a diet you can't stay on or don't like won't be as effective as a slightly less rigorous plan that you can stay on and enjoy. And since I've had horrid luck with GI-based diets in the past, and I find calculating loads and eating 6 times a day to be on par with root canals, I stick to MANS - though it probably helps that left to my own devices, I'd pretty well be a carnivore anyway.
Oh, and GLAD isn't hard to get the gist of at all. Net carbs divided by 100 times glycemic index equals the glycemic load. Each meal must have a GL of around 15, and there have to be 6 of them in a day. The pain in the butt is getting the GIs to be able to do the math to create meals that fit the bill so you can plug them into your meal plan. GLAD it pays to plan, versus MANS that you can basically get away with grab the tasty animal of your choice and eat it.
