I volunteer. You say you ate 50 grams of carbs-- was that net, or total? How many calories did you burn in cardio?andrewpmast wrote:I wonder if someone else could test that out... eat low carb for a day (or more), pee on a keto strip and then do a bunch of cardio and pee on another keto strip to see if it changes.

Sonofabitch! I was sure you were going to say that you worked out for, like, 2 1/2 hours or something. I thought I was going to have to go do a sprint triathlon. Pssssht. 300 calories. Hokay-- I'm gonna get up tomorrow, do the test (I will NOT be in ketosis, I guarantee this), run on my treadmill, stick to the lowest carbs I can, and do a Tabata workout in the afternoon. I'll do another treadmill workout Wednesday morning, then test for ketosis after the workout. I won't restrict my calories or protein really-- it won't be a fat flush diet. Just as close to 0 carb as I can get, and I'll resume my normal low-carb on Wednesday. One day of very little vegetable matter won't kill me.andrewpmast wrote:I played basketball for 15 minutes, rode the skateboard for another 15. Later in the evening, I played more B-ball (about 10 minutes) and did some hard bike riding (up hills and high-gear hard pedalling.
You might say I burned 300 calories.
