question about ground turkey

Postby mykim0 on Fri May 15, 2009 3:40 am

Is ground turkey a decent source of zinc? Also, can it be used interchangebly with ground beef? I have not had some in a while so i thought i would start eating it again but i just want to know if it is significantly inferior to ground beef. Turkey seems to have more cholesterol than ground beefand a decent amount of saturated fat.

Ground beef has 6.9mg per 100g serving while turkey has only 2.9mg.

If we are talking about lean cuts then turkey has more cholesterol and saturated fat.
