Hi all, new here.
Was hoping I can get pointed in the right direction here. I've only been hitting the weights hard for few weeks, and I see lots of great ideas on musclehack but Im still kind of lost. I weigh 162 lb.s, 6' tall, and have relatively lean body frame. My body fat is 8.1%
My metabolism is so friggin high, ( I had smoke for quite a few years, not now however). I am very active on my days off, I rarely if ever eat breakfast or lunch, and usually eat some kind of massive dinner. I can tell that some exercises are showing through like my abs due to my low bod fat %, but overall, I cant seem to make any progress on chest, arms, etc. My days working vary in intensity, I work for the FIre Department. Some days are crazy, some just sedentary. Depends.
My question is, should someone with my kind of metabolism go after the weight gaining foods, carbs, shakes approach? (kind of like the G.L.A.D method), or go after the MANS diet., considering I dont eat much during week anyway (however I have been feeling hungrier more regularly since working out). All I really want is to gain some weight in muscle but not have to then work overly hard later to shed or cut out a ton of fat I accumulated.
I appreciate any help. More of my info is below if needed to give me a more complete response. Thanks.
weight: 162 lbs. or 73 kg.
body fat 8.1%
preworkout supplements: arginine, caffeine, and a weight gainer shake (750 cal, 130g carbs, sugars 8g)
postworkout: creatine monohydrate 5g, protein 50g
Thanks for any info.
