Yes, really impressive! An 48" chest ,18" biceps.... you are big, man.Congrats!

Thanks dude. Unfortunately, I carry all my fat in my torso. It seems like this is the last place that my body wants to let go of fat. It's a slow steady process.

But if it's letting go of fat, chances are a bit of that is feeding your growing muscle in the same place. You're going to be a monster...

So, after missing a week (two weeks) of reporting in, here's what we've got:

Lowest weight this week: ~172 lbs (an improvement, as two weeks before my lowest reading was 170).

Measurements:
Week 1 Week 8
Neck 15.5 15.5
Shoulders 49 46.25
Bicep 13 13
Bicep (flex) 14.75 14.5
Chest 38 40.5
Waist 31.5 31
Hips 38 37.5
Thigh 23 23
Calf 13.5 14
Forearm 11.75 12
Wrist 7.25 7

So basically what that's telling us is that string and a ruler can't measure :| (unless I actually lost .25 inches of bone off my wrist and 3 inches from my shoulders). Maybe I'll have to invest in one of those tape things... but, even though there's no real apparent gain in size, I'm stronger than I was, so that's something.

These are some of mine. We three are very close on measurements :D

Age:19
Height:173cm - 5'8''
Current Weight: 70kg - 154lbs
Starting Weight: 55kg - 121lbs (before two years)

*Flexed But Not After Exercise:
Chest: 42.5*
Shoulders: 47 (I am not so sure about this measurement, but must be close)
Left Arm: 14.9*
Left Forearm: 11.8*
Waist: 31.5
Hips: 36.5*
Left Thigh: 24.5*
Left Calf: 15.7*

Best Lifts So Far:
Deadlift(sumo stance): 396lbs x 1 rep (Sumo Stance is easier than Conventional and is my favorite)
Squat: 308 x 4
Bench Press: 231 x 2
Shoulder Press: 176 x 2
Pullups: +17.5 x 1
Dips: +32.5 x 2
BB Curl: 132 x 2
(These are my absolute load records and not max reps actually, that's why it's 308x5 on squats for example, that means that I have never squatted heavier than 308lbs)

Anyway, in order for those measurements to go 1 inch bigger at least, I have to go to 77-79kg as fat free as I can,and spread the weight evenly. Time will show :).It's doable in 8-12 months, for sure.

It's been a few weeks. Making a little progress. I guess the up side is that I'm not going backward either.

Weight - 251
Bodyfat - 26.7% (-0.2)
Waist - 45 (+0.5)
Chest - 47 (-1)
Calf - 16
Bicep - 17 (+0.5)
Bicep (flex) - 18.25 (+0.25)
Neck - 18

I mentioned in my last post that I was going on a short vacation for my birthday. That went well. A few people that I haven't seen in a while and know that I'm working on being healthier mentioned that they saw a difference in the way that I looked. I hoped that I would hear more remarks like that from people that didn't specifically know what I've been doing because that would mean there is genuinely a noticeable difference and their comments would help me with motivation. Not sure if that's a good way to look at it or not.

While I was away, I didn't log all my meals like I usually do and it was quite liberating. Once I got back I decided to see if it was necessary to continue. I think I'm aware of the hidden carbs that used to sneak up on me before. I'm also good with my portions. So, I won't be keeping a log for at least a few weeks to see how I do.

Great progress man - except you're the size I'm trying to get to. Ironic, isn't it?

Definitely... after a month or so on these diets, you can just - sense - the carb content of food by looking at it.

@myKim0 and undertaker

That's crazy we're all the same size... maybe I need to work on losing the 5 inches of height.

How do you guys measure neck size? Above the traps? Mine hasn't grown since I was about 14, which is why I wonder if I'm measuring it right.

Yes, you measure right above the traps. Normally when you working your back, you work you neck muscles too. You can do some extra isolation work with neck extensions and flexions. Anyway neck is a forgotten muscle group by weight trainers but it has appeal I think. I remember when I was younger I was always amazed by the big neck muscles of Goldberg

Well, unfortunately I have reached zero-day without reaching my goal yet. We're heading to California tomorrow morning to spend some time in the sun and surf. Still hovering around 20% body fat, but I'm off to the beach to enjoy myself as best I can, love handles and all :)

See y'all next week! Guess I'll keep shooting for further reductions throughout the summer & fall. Hope to see my abs by next spring.

you should be able to hit the sub 20% bodyfat soon then. How many calories are you eating these days anyway? I saw "i want to look like that guy" with Jeff Willet and the guy was eating 1300 calories days before his bodybuilding competition. Must be brutal to run on such a low calorie meal plan.
