Achieving My Desired Body Shape and Size Help!!

Postby paulon1 on Thu Jul 29, 2010 12:41 pm

Hi Everyone.

Just new to this particular site and forum and enjoying the info on it. I NEED YOUR HELP.

It seems to me that when talking about BodyBuilding, still the majority talk about the simplistic notion of just building muscle and gaining size and losing or maintaining bodyfat levels. HOWEVER. I gain size fairly easily and also lose it quite easily when i train and watch my diet, i dont have too much problem. The problem i have is. Training to achieve my optimal size, weight and body dimensions. Ill put it this way.

I am currently:

5ft 11inches or 1.8m in height
i am also

190lbs or 13stone 8lbs at present.
ive dropped down from 15stone 2lbs since May 10. Over the past 6 years ive been as low as 12stone and as high as 16stone. I believe my optimum weight is between 12stone 8lbs to 13stone or 75-78 kg.

My main 2 measurements are at present

Waist 35-36 inches and Chest 44-45 inches
Ive dropped down from 38-39inches waist and 47-48inches chest. I believe for my optimal body shape i would look better at 32inch waist and 40 inch chest.

IM SICK OF BUYING LARGE T-SHIRTS AND SHIRTS AND 34 Inch Trousers and jeans. I want to look tight and fit in 32inch trouser and medium size tops.

MY MAIN QUESTION THEN IS THIS. How should i approach training and diet in order to get down to this weight and size dimensions and also lose fat and keep muscle to highest levels as possible. I have tried to achieve this for years, i dont want to look bulky and big and this is what happens at present.

Should i still train heavy, how many calories etc? I currently do the Body for life programme and my diet is not tight ill be honest but its not bad! dont know the perfect amount of carbs of me and correct ratios. I do weights x 3 days per week, monday , wed and thurs and do 30 mins hit cardio on tues, thur, and sat.

Really hope i get some help and look forward to your comments and replies.

Yours thankfully

Paul

Yah. Real nice of you Zero. It's his first post man. Why don't you point him in the right direction instead?

Paul, there is a lot of very useful information in the archives and FAQ. Some of the more seasoned members here might be able to give you some good info though. I basically did the same thing you did. My first post was a simple question that had already been addresssed in the FAQ section.

Lol wut? I keep seeing this bullshit too much lately. If he can hit the forums button on the main site, he can hit the archives one as well.

And I did point him in the right direction, you basically repeated what I said, but in a more pussy way.

Zero: I know the archives are available but could you please be more constructive and come across as less of an a-hole? Just something I've noticed after reading a few of your posts. There's no need to be nasty. If someone could benefit from searching the archives, then tell them so in a polite manner. There's no need to be crass or condescending.

Be polite to every one of them and this will continue. Set it straight once, and more chance others will follow. Go on Doggcrapp forums, that's how it should be.

"Hey, I guess I should read the archives before asking dumb ass questions!"

+1 no need to be insulting - it would be nice if this forum grew and more people can share their experiences, rather than being scared away.

@ Zero, who made you the muscle hack police anyway ?

If you haven't noticed yet, I'm the only who gives out the most correct information. Why repeat the same shit over and over when it's already written down with a simple click?
