If there's a significant amount of glutamine in your protein shake, I dont think it's necessary to take it in addition to that. But you will find many opinions on this topic. There is a ceiling on the amount of glutamine your body absorbs before it starts shuttling it out of your body in your urine, so more is not necessarily better.
Mark's supplement reccomendations are well-suited to a beginner; supplements are far less important and difficult to get right than the dietary and training protocols. Focus on them first for several months and then you can revisit supplements if you want. Best of luck.
