I am a 27 yr old , weigh 198lbs and have a bodyfat % 0f 19.3, i need to loose some fat from my stomach but also want to try and keep/increase any muscle mass i have.According to a calorie calculator i burn 2900 calories a day, if i cut down to 2200/2300 with roughly 175/190g of protein 195g carbs and 45-65g of fat am i going to still build lean muscle, i will be taking creatine and protein supplement, Your suggestions would be most grateful!!!!
YES YES YES. I'd back off the protein a bit. Perhaps like 150 grams, spread evenly over 4-5 meals. Say, like 30 grams per meal, 12% "good" fats per meal, and keep the proteins whole, like veggies, beans, whole grains and lean meats like salmon and chicken. This worked for me, but others will disagree... try working out 10-12 reps type, for 40 minutes, then jump on the tread mill for 20 minutes. Then, go home and eat and rest.. I lost fat, gained muscle but you may not. I did eat protein shakes, but don't go nuts on liquid protein. The calories add up and they don't typically satisfy your appetite like meat does. Vanilla protein shake mix with a blended banana is high simple carbs but a great post workout shake. Everybody reacts to carbs differently so find your sweet spot. Don't cut them out because you'll need the quick energy.
This is just some input/feedback. Ultimately, there is no magic solution for us all. Otherwise, there wouldn't be 100's of workouts, diets, forums and opinions!

Ok, well perhaps opinions.

I do with there was more scientific research on this stuff, but all things considered, there isn't.
