Too Much Red Meat?

Hi

I'm on a bulk with MANS and have adopted steak and beef as my only meat sources. I've always assumed red meat was better for building muscle than the protein found in chicken and fish. However, I've just read some BB articles about diets with high red meat consumption can cause health issues, namely cancer, and they recommend eating red meat only 3 times per week. I currently eat about 250-300g red meat per day, 100-150g of cheese (most of which at last meal), and the rest is eggs/mayo/cream/yogurt/nuts and a good amount of veg.

So my question is, am I doing myself harm eating nothing but beef and steak all week (every week)? Is chicken and fish protein no worse for building muscle?

No, red meat is bad if you are on a diet not based on protein and fats, like MANS is. Read articles about sat fat roles in high fat diets, they actually increase your hormone production, and dont increase directly bad cholesterol. Tobacco, stress, high carb-fat diets increase it more. In fact, red meat is a MUST on MANS..you can diversificate if you want to feel more secure but i dont find the reason why. Meat = high protein, high fat, high sat fat, creatin, delicious!..

anyway dude, how is your bulking going on MANS?

Slow. But then I've just started. Looking to gain no more than a 1lb a fortnight. Keeping it as lean as possible.

Great...im just finishing a TSPA program and still deciding between MANS and GLAD..how many kcals are u eating?

2600 at the moment, but then I'm only 151 lbs. Cut down from 164 to 149 with TSPA. Nice to get that fat off, now to build some muscle. Some what of a hard gainer though. The cals will go up in 100cal increments as my gains stall. But I'm taking it slowly so as not to undo all my hard work cutting.

yep wanna do the same, thats why my hard judgement between MANS and GLAD..cus dont wanna have that flab fat on my abs again, im on the same weight than you..can u post your diet? so do u feel you are gaining muscle?
