You could try this but it's probably best you lift some weights.

Just joking buddy. I don't think there is anything you can do to widen your shoulders other that weights.

Stan, you're only 17. As you get older and your body matures, you'll fill out more. When I was your age, I lifted weights all the time (i was a wrestler). While I got stronger I didn't get much bigger. Once I hit my 20's, I started filling out in the Shoulders, Chest, Arms, etc. Keep it up and it'll pay-off eventually.

I don't know of a way to broaden your shoulders without using weights.

If you are paranoid about it - stand up straight with your shoulders back - this actually does improve your confidence. I'm not talking about the "I think I'm the best thing since sliced bread pose", just push your shoulders back a little so it looks like you naturally have good posture.

With weights, how about doing some flies. To make it harder, try it on an incline bench (sitting sideways on the bench). Dumbell presses are good too.

DO MORE SETS AND EXERCISES for shoulders, even up to 20 sets per workout. I used to go so far as to put a light dumbbell underneath my bed and, first thing in the morning, I'd wake up and do five sets of lateral raises, alternating between arms without resting. I never counted this as part of my actual shoulder workout; I did it on top of that.
