What do you think of this guy, Nelson Montana and his eBook "The Bodybuilding Truth"?

:?:

I'm not gaga over his book, just curious. Still musclehacking to my heart's content.

Not JoH I know, but for what it's worth my thoughts are that there's a million different programs out there and even more people - Not everything will work for everyone.
Finding a plan you like and can sustain is more important than worrying about the semantics different "experts" use.

If you're happy and getting the results with Musclehack, then stick with Musclehack - Why bother looking around?

I just skimmed it. It looks like mostly old-fashioned, common sense training practices. On nutrition, for instance, the author is basically saying GLAD (eat carbs with 6 small meals, but stay away from a lot of starches) is better than MANS (super low carbs, high fat) for consistent, healthy, LONG-TERM gains, but said going lower carbs when cutting was worthwhile. Seems to be the same as Mark re: GLAD. On types of workouts, the author spoke of exhausting muscle fibers as much as possible. Same as Mark. Varying workout routines - volume, HIT. Same as Mark. Machines are good, free weights are good. Same as Mark. Isolation is good, Compound is good. Same as Mark. Some things were wrong, though, like embracing the idea about training instinctively. The fact is if you feel like backing off on your training, you'll back off on your progress because you won't be incorporating the muscle fibers into exhaustion as needed for the best potential growth.

Of course, that author wasn't as up to date on discussing modern, safe, supplements as Mark is, and also explained some steroid stuff I (and all the natural trainers here) didn't need to read.

Yeah, it looks like he endorses steroids. Which discounts the effectiveness of everything else.

I see value in everybody, and everything.

I agree it's nothing new to us Musclehackers. One thing I did out of this book: is the tidbit about raised pinkies during bicep exercises.
That and the quote in his history section by Vince Gironda, 1972:
"Squats aren't so much a leg exercise as they are a gluteus maximus movement. It's best to substitute hack squats for standard squats or you'll wind up with wide hips and a big ass!"

One other thing he mentioned I haven't seen anywhere else: Stand in a cold shower with it on your nuts. Supposed to make more testosterone.
