I HATE the bench press. Why? Because I can't do it. I swear I have never seen someone weaker on the bench (and I'm not a tiny guy). I can barely rep 100 lbs 6 times. It's ridiculous. And no matter how much I do it to failure, I can't add weight the next week and I have absolutely no endurance when I do it. Not to mention, it's pretty embarrassing... not that I'm in the gym to impress anyone. I'm excelling at every other exercise EXCEPT the bench.
I need an exercise that will work my chest equally as well but one that I don't need a spot to do. I already do cable flies in place of the pec dec. What is a good alternative to bench?
