Biceps stopped aching

Postby Par2 on Thu Jul 16, 2009 5:47 pm

I can get every other muslce group aching the day after working out, but my biceps no longer ache. I give them a proper thrashing till they burn like hell, but still no delayed ache. About my 7-8th week of lifting. Am following Mark's TA exercises. Should I change something up, give them a rest?

Because you are not getting that aching feeling (DOMS) does not mean you are not getting growth or your routine sucks, as long as you keep progressing each week on your routine don’t worry. Best to change exercises maybe every 6-8 weeks if you feel change is needed.

krs is absolutely correct. Also don't add in extra sets or reps to try and force a reaction: stick to the plan. It will be working just fine, adding more sets, etc can actually be detrimental to results.

Hold two heavy dbs in isometric stretched position for 5 minutes and your chest will be aching for two weeks. It does not mean you will grow, actually you will not. DOMS and muscle growth are not so related as most believe.Same for the pump.

That movie is hysterical. Can you believe he actually got elected to the chief executive of the most populous state in my country?! Unbelievable!
One more reason to keep your bodybuilding efforts in perspective-- there is life outside the weight room.
