HHmm
POSITIVE FAILURE VS DROPSETS, okay firstly these are two completely different training methods, i like them both and i use them both, positive failure is a fantastic way to train but its name 90% of the time should be negative failure ask yourself the question next time youve completed a set,
DID I REALLY GO TO POSITIVE FAILURE OR DID MY MIND TELL ME ENOUGH IS ENOUGH? The honest answer to that is your mind, unless you have a fantastic spotter who will help you squeeze out those last couple of reps as though your life depended on it and the veins in your eyeballs are about to burst the haemoroids in your ass! We are all like this, yes we do make fantastic gains going to possitive failure but are we utilizing the training method properly and if we are then are we using the proper weight every single time? Yes fantastic traing method that will always produce great gains but do we always sell ourselves short? PROBABLY
DROPSETS AAHHH the daddy finisher to all excercises, drop sets are king in my eyes when we are finishing up our training session, this for me is where the money is at, we have busted our muscles to positive breaking point ONLY however if we have totally given 100% commitment to our training if we are utilizing the positive failure training method.
What drop sets do is what no other training method i dont think can do is get DEEP DEEP down into those last remaing muscles fibres, oh yes the muscles fibres are already ripped to shreds but by drop setting every single set to you need to be wheeled out of the gym is where the pontential for real growth lies as i said IF AND ONLY IF we are really giving it 100% before we reach dropsets otherwise all we are doing is hitting the fibres we have already broke down and all we are really doing is giving ourselves the PUMP!!!!!
What im trying to say is ABSOLUTLY FANTASTIC TRAINING METHODS both deliver amazing results at what they do to muscle fibres but always ask yourself the question before your next training session AM I GONNA GIVE IT 100% PERCENT IN HERE OR JUST 99.9% if your answer is the latter then you can be sure that you wont get great gains but FANTASTIC gains, ALSO NEVER EVER UNDERESTIMATE STRETCHING inbetween sets as it lets the blood back into your muscles and helps prolong lactic acid building up so you can train with more intensity. hope this bit of informations helps
