HOLLISTIC TRAINING

Postby LALA on Thu Dec 15, 2011 12:24 am

Hey guys

I gave hollistic training a go today, i never done it before and it was the hardest training session i ever done it actually made me throw up, it was something recommended to me to throw a session in every six weeks for each bodypart its basically four sets supersetted with a 2min rest 10reps per set, it was legs today so my workout was:

set1: Leg extension feet pointed outward 10reps
leg press feet pointed straight ahead 10 reps
leg extension feet pointed inward 10 reps
walking lunges 10reps

Give this a go guys its awesome
Have any of you done this type of training before, what bodypart and what excercises did you use?

I trained likt that for the last 4 weeks of my previous cut. All of my sets were supersets, with 90 sec rest between. It was hard going all right and a lot of fun. I've never heard it called Holistic training before though. Vince Virgonda promoted that type of training back in the sixties and i've noticed it's making a bit of a come back. I get more doms form THT but i think that is because you are so knakerd when performing nothing but super sets with short rest periods it's hard to push to faliure. Still i would say it's a valid traininig plan and like most traininig plans has it has it's place at several points in a given years training.

Cheers Aaron

U were bound to be knackered doing this training everyday is right, i thought it was a strange name for it myself but i suppose its just different lingo from where you come from, and i do think the pro's recommend just training each bodypart like this once every 6 weeks. It is an old school type of training is right and it is very good i have to say.

I find it hard to get a pump in my chest but i did hollistic chest yesturday and it had me pumped for ages heres what i did:

superset1:
bb benchpress 10reps
pec-dec 10reps
db press 10reps
cable cross-overs 10reps
2min rest and repeat another 3 times, i think i forgot to mention repeat for the leg routine so if anyone is going to try it its 12 sets in total same as chest.
