not getting sore

Postby powermizer on Thu Mar 04, 2010 11:48 am

Thanks Mark and everyone who is on this site. My first post so be nice.LOL I am 44 years young and have lost 25 lbs by using low carb, and now lifting and using the THT plan I found that the first couple of weeks my muscle groups were sore but now I dont feel the same soreness anymore, does this mean I am doing something wrong ? Even when I was younger and lifting I noticed the same thing. I have had a hard time getting my bicepts to grow and they never get sore. Sorry for the long thread, Thanks

Hey powermizer, well I can say from my expierience this is quite normal. It does not mean thst you workout was inferior or that you made no progress. The body adapts and gets better at recovery, therefore after about 2 weeks or so you dont feel like mush for 2 days after a lift. I would of course assume that diet, nutrition and supplementation also play a part in recovery, but then I am not a nutritionist or dietician. Hope that helps

Hey

As long as you can increase either weight or reps or both each week then it's working so keep going and you'll be fine.

Thanks, for the replies, I feel alot better now. I have never given full effot in lifting, now I am dedicated, I only wish I would have been dedicated when I was 18. I find at my age I dont seem to recoup as fast between sets and already pulled something in my left lat. ( just for you younger guy's who are thinking of giving up, (dont). You dont want this kind of regret later in life, I know. Thanks again
