Question about muscle retention & partying...

As you're all aware, New Year's Eve is fast approaching, which means a lot of us will be ringing in the new year at a party or club of some kind. My plans are to be at an all-night party/club... which means I could be dancing (on & off) for 4-8 hours. Since dancing is aerobic exercise... and since extended aerobic exercise can eat into our hard-gained muscle, I was wondering if there's anything I can do, eat or drink... before, during, and after my big night out... that will minimize any muscle loss.

I know this is a strange question, and I hope it's not inappropriate... but since I've cut out all cardio (from my workout)... I was just concerned that the sudden burst of cardio-like exercise might shock my body into eating the little bit of muscle I've gained over the past year.

Well, since no one seems to have an answer... I will give my thoughts. I'm thinking that if I drink a lot of carbs during the night (orange juice, gatorade, or even alcohol, etc) then my body will use that for fuel, instead of muscle... or, at least, less so than if I was just drinking water or diet soda. I'm also thinking that if I dance for only about 20-30 mins & then take a break... I may be able to minimize the muscle loss as well.

Anyway, if anyone has any thoughts, I'd like to hear them.

listen pal dnt b afraid of the occasional nite out destroying ur well earned muscle it would take a whole lot of dancin b4 that would happen also the calories in the alcohol although not gud are still fuel specialy high sugar drinks.A nite out wud hurt the waist more than ur muscles,unless ur pulling 3 day benders which im prone 2 lol :D
Waitst-31.5, chest 43, arms-tris 14, bis 15.5 , neck 17.5, thighs 23 , calves 15 , forearms 12.5

hate my skinny legs L :(
