Some advice for a fat guy

Postby Sinner on Tue Jan 17, 2012 4:04 am

Hi everyone!

I just recently came across MuscleHack.com, and so far I'm excited with the HUGE amount of information I've found here.
As the title says, I'm a fat guy (5'7" / 240 pounds) though I've lost about 35 pounds over the last 2 months of dieting and gym (cardio mostly).
In the Testimonials page I've seen that it is possible to achieve my goal - Antonio Wright has done it, I'm about as fat as he was (well, I think I might be a little fatter).

My confusion starts when I see 2 types of diet: MANS and GLAD. Wich one is the best for me?
Also, I'm considering buying the Six Pack Abs, but... should I start using it right now, or should I lose all the fat first?

I am really lost here guys, I hope someone can help me out with those questions, maybe someone that has been on the same situation?

Best Regards.

Both MANS and GLAD are designed for building. TSPA is for cutting. If you are all ready over weight then MANS and GLAD would be a big mistake.

Hi Sinner,

The keys to success when trying to get in shape (in my opinion) are: (1) stay focussed, (2) realize that you're human & you'll backslide from time to time (so suck it up & move on), (3) create a workout & diet that work for you (that are healthy), and (4) make it part of your routine (like working & sleeping)--you must make time for it. Also remember that any progress, no matter how slow, is still better than where you started.

Do you mind if I send you a private message? I'd like to make a few suggestions for you.

Also... must we call you "Sinner"? That's such a negative word. I'd rather you focus on something positive about yourself, or something that will remind you of your goals, like "Progress." But "Sinner"? Nah. We're all sinners, right? I think you deserve a more original screen name than that. ;)

Wow dude all he asked about was which diet? He has already been working out and lost 35 lbs so stop with the ok to be successful you need to be focused crap, he has already proven he know that stuff. As to private suggestions why would he do that? This is a site dedicated to educating and helping everyone in a open forum, not private secret suggestions.

As to his user name it was his choice and you should not put your judgement on it. How would you feel if someone came down on you for NYC Male? I bet you would say mind your own damn business, as should he to you for your suggestion.

There's a lot more to losing weight & getting healthy than just havinga a good diet. Millions of people start the right diet every year, and might even have a strong start, but eventually wander off course and never meet their goals. Since this gentleman is seriously overweight, clearly controlling his weight has not been easy for him in the past... so I was hoping to offer some strategies that might help him stick with it... for the long haul.

I don't see why that offends you so much. If it offends him, then I apologize. That was not my intention.

So, anyway, as I was saying... Sinner, feel free to send me a private message if you wish.

You make a lot of assumptions about this person from one post. I also suggest people don't listen to people without a proven track record of success. Success not just that they have accomplished but of helping other people do the same thing. If this is great advice that will help people keep on track why would you not want to share it with everyone here?

Don't want to... & don't have to. Feel free to offer your own advice though... in any manner you wish. Have a nice day.
