Hi Vanguard,

I saw on one of the post that you were talking about possibly competing in 2012.
Will you be posting any progress updates?
Where and when will you be competing?

If it is local enough to me I would like to go to the event.

Cheers, Graham

Hey Graham,

Thanks for the interest. I plan on doing my first ever competition, the 2012 IDFA WESTERN CANADA CLASSIC in Calgary on Oct 20th. http://www.idfa.ca/

I am going to enter Novice Heavy Weight and Masters

I have a bodybuilding.com bodyspace site here http://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com/Vanguard1965/

Layne Norton is going to do my contest prep starting on June 30th http://www.biolayne.com/training.htm Totally excited about that!

He is one of the biggest names in natural bodybuilding so for him to do my contest prep is like a dream come true.

I will probably do a contest prep log on the forums at bodybuilding.com If there is enough interest I can do one here as well.

Where abouts do you live?

Hi vanguard,

It wasn't until I saw your reply to my post that I realised that you are in Canada! Silly me.
I am in the UK very close to Heathrow air port, so I am not really local enough to come to the event. But none the less I am still very interested in your progress and how you get on next year.

I have had a look at the Layne Norton site and it and he are very impressive.
I will have a look at your bodybuilding.com posts after completing this reply. From what I have seen of Layne's site you must indeed be thrillled that he's going to do your competition preparation for you.
It will be very interesting to read your progress updates for the run up to the competition if you decide to do that, as it will encourage any others who are thinking of doing a competition.
I have never competed myself although I did once consider it many years ago. I think I would find the free posing the most difficult area to deal with after the dieting of course!

Good luck! Graham
